health checks now mandatory?
on Nov 21, India's new Labour Codes officially came into force...

Hey,
If you're managing HR for a manufacturing plant, I need 3 minutes of your time.
Because something big just changed, and it's not a "read later" situation.
On November 21, 2025, India's new Labour Codes officially came into force. And buried in the OSH Code 2020 is a mandate that's going to hit manufacturing harder than most sectors.
Here's what just became non-negotiable:
Every worker above 40 years old is now entitled to a free annual health check-up.
Not "subsidized." Not "optional." Free. Annual. Mandatory.
And it doesn't matter if they're permanent, contract, or fixed-term employees; if they're on your payroll, you're liable.
Oh, and one more thing: these check-ups must be conducted during working hours so workers don't lose wages.
The law is live.

Your workforce isn't sitting at desks all day.
They're operating heavy machinery. Handling chemicals. Working near welding fumes, noise levels that exceed safety limits, and dust environments that mess with lungs over time.
Which is exactly why the government made health screening universal across all sectors, not just the 7 high-risk industries it used to cover.

What Standard Compliance Costs for Manufacturing Plants
Add to that:
Lab coordination across multiple shifts
Record digitization and portal uploads
Follow-ups for abnormal results
Compliance documentation for surprise audits
You're looking at time, cost, and operational disruption, all while trying to keep production lines running.

For the last 18 months, we've been working with manufacturers, warehouses, and logistics companies to make health benefits accessible for blue-collar workers.
While the OSH Code mandates health check-ups, the real challenge is what happens after.
How do workers access affordable healthcare?
How do they handle medical emergencies without going into debt?
That's where we come in.

You're not just checking a compliance box; you're actually taking care of people.
And that's what keeps workers from leaving your plant for another job.
LIMITED-TIME OFFER FOR MANUFACTURING PLANTS
Because we know manufacturing budgets are tight, here's our offer for the next 30 days:
10% OFF Your Entire Health Compliance Package
FREE 24/7 Doctor Consultations
Your entire workforce gets unlimited access to verified doctors via phone/app for a full year
(no hidden fees)

1. Do contract workers count?
Yes. Under Section 23 of the OSH Code, you're responsible for all workers, permanent, contract, migrant, or fixed-term.
2: What tests are required for manufacturing workers?
It depends on their role:
Welders → respiratory, vision, hearing
Assembly workers → musculoskeletal, repetitive stress
Chemical handlers → liver function, respiratory
Forklift operators → vision, reaction time
Workers 45+ → annual comprehensive exams within 120 days
3: Can I use paper records?
No. The OSH Code requires digital records uploaded to state labor portals. Inspectors will ask for login access during audits.
4: What if I already have tie-ups with local hospitals?
That's fine, but are they tracking compliance formats?
Uploading to state portals?
Providing audit-ready documentation? If not, you're still at risk.
5. How long do I need to keep these records?
Minimum 3 years. They must be retrievable, downloadable, and signed by certified medical professionals.
6: Do I need an on-site Occupational Health Centre (OHC)?
Only if you have 500+ workers or deal with hazardous processes. Otherwise, tie-ups with registered medical practitioners (like us) are acceptable.
7: What's the most common reason audits fail?
Three things:
Expired or missing health records
No digitization or state portal upload
Inability to show role-specific tests (audiometry, spirometry, vision tests, etc.)
8: What if a worker refuses the health check?
That's on record. But you still need to offer it, and document that you did.
9: How quickly can you deploy this for my plant?
Within 7–10 days from onboarding. We've done this for plants with 2,000+ workers across multiple shifts.
10: Is the 24/7 doctor consultation really free?
Yes. Every worker gets free access to verified doctors for the full year, no caps, no per-call charges, family coverage included.
Look, we get it. You didn't sign up to be a healthcare coordinator.
You signed up to run a plant. To hit production targets.
But the law just changed.
More importantly? Your workers notice when you take care of them. Retention improves.
We'll run a quick audit of your current setup, show you exactly where the gaps are, and give you a clear plan to get compliant.
Offer valid until January 15, 2026.
